also battery didn't fit up front i would have to raise the deck by like 4 inches or so :( i might try to put in the very front but it would be a pain in the butt to take out and charge i looked at those really nice mount charges but i don't know if i want to keep or maybe sell and get a 14 ft or 16 ft kinda what i thinking now. I hope maybe this week i will get the livewell weld up it will sit in the middle bench also make to were it can come out and use as a storage area.

Correct me if I am wrong but it looked like in a previous pic that the battery would be in front of the livewell possibly underneath your seat. Is it going to be in the back? I see you say it wouldn't fit up front but I was thinking you meant up on the bow. Have you thought about putting it underneath the seat? Sticking out of the floor 4" there would matter. Just build a battery box top with a seat mount on top.

When I was going to put my deck in I had the same issue but I didn't start the build before finding that out. I do a lot of modification work and custom builds on anything, and from experience I must say, my rule is plan, measure twice, and cut once. Hope that makes sense. Try to stay a few steps ahead of your project so you know whats going to happen before you make something sweet like your deck and then find out its not good for your battery. Also with your paint, You should wait till you have most/all your modifications done before getting to that. Plus don't half azz your build, you're only shorting yourself. Or if you do sell like you're thinking then you might not get as much as what you should.. Hope this helps! I'll be following you and keeping up with it! Good luck

I can fit the battery in front of were I am going to make the live well but with out the battery box lid just the battery box also plywood was just barely touch the the battery terminals when the hatch is closed and yes I hear you about doing things right and not shorting myself I did on the paint which I will redo. I have been a couple steps ahead until now with the wiring but I guess I need to go.and buy the fish finder and the 4 gang switch panel before I do much more and the seats I will have to post some more pics of were I am at right now does any one have pros and cons to deck lighting ?

I'm putting deck lighting on my boat. Pro's I guess if your going to be doing anything at night in your boat it will make it easier to get around in. I don't want to be tripping over stuff in the dark moving from one end of the boat to the other and taking an unwanted late night swim.

Con's i guess would be bug attraction. But that's only going to happen if you leave them on full time, which I don't plan on doing. Also just make sure you put them somewhere your not going to be breaking them or stepping on them all the time.. other than that I don't see a down side. The new LED lights don't draw enough power for that to be any kind of concern.

Sorry photos were messed up

If you dont want to attract bugs at night get red LEDs. Red doesnt attract bugs. Bad thing is your boat is green so doesnt really look as good as green LEDs. Im running red but thats cause I mostly night fish in an area heavily populated with mosquitos.
