I bought a older motor off craigslist that didn't run for 35 bucks and changed the spark plugs and cleaned out the carb and it fired up nice. I seen a guy who listed a 14 ft v hull and trailer on barter and I swapped even for the motor. I threw on a old evinrude motor I had and some swivel seats and painted the boat and trailer

ya its amazing how cheap people sell things for without taking the time to troubleshoot something. I plan on gutting the boat this summer and customizing the interior with some storage compartments and a casting deck.I also just picked up a "it doesn't run" 20 hp electric start Chrysler for it for next to nothing and it fired up easily for me. \:D/

Very nice trading, fixing-up, and bird-dogging craig's list. Helps to have the mechanical skills, and the space to stash works-in-progress as you move along.
