For anyone out there who has a light bar on there Jon boats I have a few questions
1. Is it fairly simple to wire up it seems like it would be.
2. How did you mount it and where

3. And I was wondering if anyone has there's set up with a homemade box protector around it, I was thinking of building one for the bow of my boat so I wouldn't have to worry about it being broken off.

I would like to build the box up near the point of the bow about where the old nav light port is.

Yes, easy to wire. Simple positive and negative with an appropriate size fuse on the positive side close to your battery. I suggest tinned wire of the appropriate size and heat shrink connectors.

I mounted mine to the bow of my boat using rivnuts and bolts from my previous HID lights I had mounted there.

I have not, but plan to make a box to protect my light using .125" aluminum sheet. Just waiting on my buddy to make a metal break setup for his press.

Here is mine, not the best picture but only one I have at the moment.
