Here is my somewhat finished project I have taken alot of pics but cant seem to get any to load up. So I borrowed my sons iphone at it seemed to work. This is a new tracker 1542 about a month old we built front and rear casting decks, middle deck and storage compartments led lighting for night fishing and nav lights. Soon to come is trolling motor fish finder and rod racks. I still have alot of little things to do but she is coming along fine. Anyone got any suggestions on gunwalls I want to hide my wiring.

I know the pics are grainy sorry I have a good camera but cant get those pics to load. Look at my son he just sits in waiting to get her on the water

Nice work ! I'm going to try to hide my wires in grey pvc conduit ? Since your boat is wired you could use automotive flexible tubing ? Sorry if I missed it what kind of LED lights are those and where'd u get them ?
Thanks !

I bought them at advanced auto they are 8 inch flexable led lights they are made for going under a car kind of like neons. The cool thing is they come in two 8 inch strips that can be cut down and rewired for extra lights. I priced all sorts of lights and went with these for the price 13.97 per pack i used 2 packs and they are really bright.

Thanks I just finished doing some work on it today. I am in the process of trying to figure out where I want to mount my transducer, and I still need to decide on a trolling motor. I am also needing some ideas on a trolling motor mount if anyone has some. I really think I should use aluminum up there for the motor.

How about this? https://www.cabelas.com/product/Boating/Electric-Trolling-Motors/Electric-Trolling-Motor-Accessories%7C/pc/104794380/c/104716980/sc/104312880/ProControll-EZ-Mount-Trolling-Motor-Mounting-Plate/1157096.uts?destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fbrowse%2Fboating-electric-trolling-motors-electric-trolling-motor-accessories%2F_%2FN-1100550%2FNs-CATEGORY_SEQ_104312880%3FWTz_l%3DSBC%253BMMcat104794380%253Bcat104716980&WTz_l=SBC%3BMMcat104794380%3Bcat104716980%3Bcat104312880

nice job on the decks, I just purchased the same boat last year, fixing to start some mods.. curious how stable it is with it decked at the top?
I was thinking of just going 1/2 way with it, but if its pretty stable I may come up to the top..

What thickness plywood (or other material) did you use on your floors and decks? Did you use aluminum supports or 2x2's, 2x4?

And like HawgCalla, I am curious as to how stable it is and how deep it sits (draft) in the water.

Mine is an Alumacraft 1542 and I decked my front halfway to the middle bench with 15/32nds ply, and the rear with 11/32 ply. I used 11/32nds on the floors to save weight with foam under it to support the floor and to deaden the sound.

I have not had mine in the water yet and Im curious as to how it will sit and how stable it will be with the extra weight.

sorry for the late reply been working out of town. Stability is really good I weigh 317 and can stand on every edge without any problems. I used 1/2" ply just because it was a little less weight.

the boat sit in the water about 3/4" with no one in it with me and my son there is about 400 hundred pounds in the boat and it sits about 2 1/2" deep in the water maybe 3 the other thing is with two batteries in the back and a full tank of gas 3 1/2 gallons the boat sits 1/2" lower to the back.
