Saw this on craigslist. I like workin on old outboards and gettin them running again. does anyone know what kind this is? Id like to add a little jet drive to the collection

Turns out it pretty much is. The fella who made it used to work for evinrude back in the day. Then started making his own motors. We'll see how it runs once I get it fixed up.

Not Home-made. Was a production engine and they actually ran pretty well. Have seen them show up at antique outboard meets in the last few years. Cannot think of the name of them though. Will see if I can dig it up.

Scoll down and look at the 1965 Cal-Jet. Resembles yours alot. Missing the engine cover.
