    flooring covering. carpet, paint, etc.

I started with a new 1436 Tracker jon with a livewell. I have decided on the decking and the arrangement but I have been pondering the floor covering. I have seen many of you use marine grade carpet successfully. I however decided to use a sprayin bed liner so the wood would be totally...

    1985 Evinrude 15hp - Thinking of buying

I agree with devilmutt as the same thing happened to me. I agreed to purchase a 15 hp Johnson on a Thursday while I was working in the same area as the seller. The agreement was made on Monday of the same week. Come Thursday, he had sold the engine stating that he did not think I was serious...

I finally know what I want

Ok, the trolling motor mount was working just fine but....I stopped at a yard sale Friday and found a three year old Motor Guide 46 lb thrust 12 volt foot controlled trolling motor. When I asked how must I could not get to my wallet fast enough...25 bucks! I now have to figure out how to mount...

1981 16’ Starcraft Seafarer Finished (New pics 6/5/12)

I have to agree with UtahBassKicker. This is my favorite renovation on this site. It almost makes me want to sell my flat bottom and get an old V hull and follow your lead.....almost.

I finally know what I want

As those of you that read my introduction post already know, I came out of tournament bass fishing having gotten totally burnt out on it into a small tin boat. Having fished out of these colorful water rockets for 30 years I knew I would want more than just a plain jon boat but I did not know...

    12 ft. Tracker

In todays legalistic society, if something was to happen and you had the boat overpowered, it could get real ugly for you. I wouldn't do it. If the tag says 6 that is all I would put on it. Just my opinion.

That appears to be an Alumacraft MV Angler. It is definately not a typical jon boat. I had a MV Mavrick (larger than the Angler) and my dad had a MV Bandit (larger than the Mavrick). Still, nice boats that are very easy to fish out of. I wish I had my Mavrick back.

    Side guides, ladder extension.

That is a killer idea. Just for clarification, the product used is a ladder stabilizer and you cut it in half so there would be one for each side of the trailer?

    Must have accessories???

I recently went from a fully loaded fiberglass water rocket to a Tracker 1436 with a livewell. The two things I missed the most was a depth/fish finder and a foot opperated trolling motor. The electronics have been installed with the trolling motor to come very soon. But the way, I don't...

Quick survey: How many bunks are under your boat?

I have a 1436 Tracker with a 15 Yamaha. I bought a $100 used trailer and I have 4 under it temporarily laying on the steel while I decide the next move on this trailer rehab. So far I have: 1) replaced bearings 2) replaced tires and rims 3) sanded, primed, and painted the axle 4) installed new...

    Additional storage/seating idea

Thanks for the link. All kinds of stuff there to look at. No, the Bass Pro here in Nashville, TN is still closed. It will be several months before it reopens. The flood waters were horrible around all of Nashville. Back to the bucket. I was thinking a plastic bucket painted OD green with...

    Additional storage/seating idea

I had an idea the other day on my boat buildup. I am going to install a floor in the front section right along the water line and put the pedestal mount in the floor for a fishing seat. Then I thought that since storage was so limited that I would cut a hole in the floor for a 5 gallon bucket...

    14ft V-hull mods

Looks good. I too like the mini nuts and bolts but....may I make one suggestion? Replace those plain nuts with nylock nuts (the nuts with the nylon insert in them). Those plain nuts will loosen with vibrations and you will constantly be re-tightening them. Get it done and then happy fishing.
