I am looking for the best way to drop an anchor from the back of the boat. It's kind of small to be moving up front when I'm out by myself. Any suggestions would be appriciated.

I just pulled the trigger on this motor and am waiting for it to be delivered. I got the 45 inch shaft for my 2005 tracker Tournement V18. If anyone has any tips on installation and use on the motor that would be great. I'm very excited to get this thing out on the water.

I have clamp on seats to put on my 12 foot Jon its a 1232 and I mounted to to the side a little so I could stear the boat. It feel a little tippy and I had to sit more toward the middle. Should I mount in the middle? Just seems like stearing would be a pain. Any info. Is appriciated.

I now have a 30 lb. thrust for my 12 foot Jon and can get a 55 lb. thrust for $100 bucks. Both motors are Minn Kota Endura I was wondering if the 55 would be that much faster/better. For $100 I think it is worth a shot. Any info. on this would be helpful.

I have a transom mount trolling motor for my 12 foot Jon. My question is can I mount it on the side of the boat so I can reach it to steer from the front seat? Just wondering if this will work.

Guys, I wanted to pass along what I did. I used an old mini baseball bat I had from when the kids were young. I cut it to size and drilled out the middle so the bolt could go through. Then I filed the notch with a round file. It took about a half hour and it is awesome and fast. There is no way...

I have a 12 foot flat bottom Jon boat I trailer on a trailer I picked up that was for a 12 foot V. I took off some of the bunks and now the Jon sits flat on it. My question is can I put a 15 foot flat bottomed Jon on this and still be okay? Is the somthing I should do with the bunks? I'm not...

Thanks. I have read about the 3/4 inch cutting board trick glued with 5200. I think I'm going to give that a shot. That looks like how most people are going it without drilling into the boat.
