    Foot controlled trolling motor

On my dads tracker 17 the foot control is not mounted. I prefer it this way. Its nice being Able to move it where I want. Never had any problems with it flopping out while towing or out on the water. Its pretty heavy.

    Is this what I need?

I need to raise my motor a few inches. Is this what I need? https://albanyga.craigslist.org/boa/5044211373.html I have some material to make a transom riser but if this works, it will be easier. Thanks

    gallbladder removal.

Had mine taken out a few years ago at the ripe ol' age of 21. Haha I have some stomach issues but nothing new. everything is the same as before. I had 2 golf ball sized stones and 14 marble sized stones. So much relief after it was out. I'd do it again 100 times. Out patient surgery...

To bolt or not to bolt a outboard down?

Never had one bolted to mine. Never had problems. But the outboards (previously a 20hp, currently and 8hp) have always been mounted before heading out then removed once back home and stored in garage or shop for theft prevention and just to keep them out of the weather. It's amazing how hard...

    GUIDE ONS?

Mine is similar to one posted above. Long Side bunks Best way to go IMO. you have a guide all the way up. Once the bow is in, it's cake from there. Makes loading a breeze. Uprights are angle iron and have been sturdy enough to last about 20 years so far. And as mentioned lights mounted up keeps...

    My trailer rehab

Thanks for the compliments guys. Johnny: I got tired of staying bent over so I stood it up on end. it it a light trailer compared to most and that was pretty easy, but it was a bear to get up on those saw horses by myself bc of how high it needed to be lifted. And the bad thing is I had to do...

Can I say "dumb ***" on this site?

I feel your pain. I just completely redone our master bath. Tore everything out to the studs and floor joists. Found some patch work done by the PO on the floor and it was just stupid. Plywood of different thickness on the subfloor. Completely rotted under the tub that was cracked and had holes...

    My trailer rehab

Not much but I'm proud of it so far. Old old trailer. Had an old fiberglass boat on it. One of those buy a trailer and get a free boat deals. About 20 years ago my dad modified it to fit his Jon boat and used it for several years. And it is in need of a redo. So here it is so far. I cleaned it...

    stick steer? Yay or nay

Never owned one but fished out of a few and they are so nice. As stated, it is wonderful to get in the boat and just fish. No up and down and back and forth and all that nonsense. If I had the money/time I'd have a stick steer set up.

Post a Pic of your boat!

Today, I took two kids (my 2yo daughter and 6yo nephew) out on my Jon boat and nobody fell in or even whined. No fishing was done or even attempted but Successful trip? Yes. Really need to fix the trailer. Loading in the bed sucks. It only takes about 15 -20 minutes by myself with little...

    18 horse on a 1448?

My dad had a 20 hp on a 1436 flat and it hauled butt. That's with me and him and a fair amount of fishing gear and a trolling motor with 2 batteries. Idk an exact mph but empty it would go faster than I wanted to go in it.
