    Best pourable transom replacement product?

Your right. I am second guessing how I want to fix it due to the cost.

    Best pourable transom replacement product?

Good info guys! Here is photos of my hull. When the pods were welded on there are stainless bolts under them (4 on each side I think) that are no longer accessible. The other end of those bolts are in the sealed flotation foam in the corner of the hull. Then the corner cap brace is welded in...

    Best pourable transom replacement product?

Second update for 11/02/23: Talked with CarbonBond fella. Nice guy, but their website will not calculate shipping charges and you have to call them and do a CC over the phone (even though the website says they take paypal they will not take paypal over the phone). Two buckets and shipping ($180...

    Best pourable transom replacement product?

Update 11/02/23: The lady at Seacast was about the most unhelpful and unprofessional person I have dealt with over the phone in a very long time. I emailed inquiring about issues with pouring the new core and then welding the aluminum cap or skin back on the top of the transom. How would their...

    Best pourable transom replacement product?

I have a 2001 Alumicraft 1860CC welded hull and the transom is starting to get soft. No real way to put coosaboard back in there without completely cutting the rear of the boat apart and lots of rewelding. Only reasonable option I can find would be Arjay, CarbonCore, or Seacast pourable...

Raising transom on alumicraft 1860svCC, need advice!

Thanks for the reply's! I'll have to look into the river runners they made. I had no idea they even made a model like that.

Raising transom on alumicraft 1860svCC, need advice!

I have a 2000 Alumicraft 1860svCC welded hull. Currently running a (very heavy) 2022 115/80 merc jet on a homemade minimal setback jack plate. Setback is approx 3 inches. With the new 4 stoke I just cannot get rid of the spray (trying a homemade splash guard next, story for another thread). The...

    16/48 Tracker w/ 145 HP

SC Designs, this is an awesome build! I saw that you build these for people. Do you have a website or anywhere with some contact information? Looks like you are in GA too. I have a all welded 1860cc alumicraft that I want to talk to you about doing some conversion work on. Thanks...

    Building your own boat?

Is there a good thread that has been posted following someone as they build their own hull from scratch on here? The search did not really turn anything up along the lines of what I am looking for. I am looking at building a simple 1648 slick bottom hull out of 0.125" aluminum like the guys in...

Building up 16" transom to 20"

Russ, you have not had any more run-in's with any more Geese hunters have you?

Building up 16" transom to 20"

Prodrive says "NO" to the jackplate. That was my first question to them. I would assume due to the beating the transom is going to take with a 240lb mud motor banging around over stumps, rocks and jumping beaver dams. I work in Cartersville. Can Bassboy weld Aluminum? Thanks

Building up 16" transom to 20"

I don't have pics handy. Existing boat has a 16" transom. The mud motor I am buying is a long shaft built for a 20" transom. I talked to Prodrive (the motor mfg) and they said to just add a section of 4" channel across the top of the transom to make it fit the motor. I have a 16" tall transom...

Building up 16" transom to 20"

Buying a longshaft 27hp Prodrive mud motor from a buddy. His boat has a 20" transom and mine is a 16". I talked to Prodrive and the fellow told me to just weld a 4" tall piece of aluminum channel across the back of the transom to make it a 20" transom, said they do it all the time in their shop...
