Thanks everyone for all the info. Just to update, i came across a nice used 15hp yamaha 2 stroke that i purchased. Should be similar enough in weight and its much quieter than my gamefisher. Starts first pull and has been serviced. Im excited to get it back on the water!

I have a sears/sea nymph 14ft jon that came with a 15hp “gamefisher” 2 stroke. Ive been able to get it running fairly well but it still has trouble idling at times and died on the water once. Parts for this motor seem to be hard to come by. Im considering replacing with a 4 stroke but im...
