I would recommend the generator option if you can. I mainly flounder gig and have used batteries and generators for years. Batteries are quiet I just hate running out juice after a couple of hours of use. The generator is noisy (unless you go with a honda) and then you don't have to worry...

Huntinfool. Thanks for the response. Functional fishing boat. The transom had some minor holes through out for years that I just left alone. When I took the motor off and sandblasted the area the holes were more noticeable, so I figured (not bright looking back) to use bondo and apply over it...

Okay so here is my next ? The bondo area is basically all over the transom (inside/outside). I used it during all stages of the process (after sand blasting, boat primed, after priming and before top coat). If this stuff flexs and breaks/cracks etc. My new paint job is basically shot...

Okay I may be a little late with this question. My buddy sandblasted my boat for me and I used Bondo for some repairs (minor holes, pitting etc..) Will the bondo hold up? Or should I have used something else? Thanks, Clint

I like the looks of that. What do you have underneath for bracing? That's the part that daunts me the most for mine, is building bracing or supports for a deck. How to attach them etc... I have used a 3/4 inch piece of plywood before and didn't need any support underneath for the area, but...

I have a Generation III modified v hull jon boat with two bench seats and and little triangle seat up front. I want to build a deck platform in the front half. What should I use for saltwater applications? Plywood? I would think carpeting would be out of the question since I tend to do a lot...
