    Waterproofing non-treated lumber?

I used old timers with 2 or 3 coats then let dry a few days then did 2 coats of spar. After a few years of hard use duck hunting my $100 build is holding up great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Mass Rivet Replacement ?

I just ordered some sealed rivets and I think I’ll use the solid ones where I can. My concern is with the dings to the bottom of the boat that have caused deformation to where they leak, I may not be able to rebuck to replace with a solid rivet to the level that I can with a pop rivet. Thanks...

    Mass Rivet Replacement ?

I just picked up a 1967 MonArk 1448. There’s loads of bondo and JB weld on the bottom of it. Decided to tackle one issue at a time with it, and took it to the welder last week. Had ground off a lot of Jb weld and had appropriate patches welded in place where needed. Brought it home and filled...

Help Please with Small deck on bow 15' Alaskan Smokercraft

As rich said: i just built the platform for my boat and trolling motor up front. I built it strong enough to quickly step on if needed (sketchy though to stand on long term i believe) because on an older boat the front bow cap was snapped off from a buddy sitting on it when I wasn't looking...

    Lowe 1648m first build

for the front deck, did you add any more bracing? And are the horizontal braces, that run bow to transom (rather than the horizontal that run from gunnel to gunnel) only held in place via the rivet from the top?

xPress 1652HiD to Bass Boat Conversion - ALMOST DONE

If you're still considering, I used .063 diamond sheet with no issues for my floor and deck. Both are heavily braced and have solid foam beneath making contact so there is not much play, if any Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Dirty Dave's 1860 Tracker

I've heard good things about Parker duck boat paint. That's what I'll be using. On YouTube I saw a video of a guy using brushes and it turned out great in the vid... sort of convinced me to do that over spray because I have putting plastic on everything and clean up from spraying Sent from my...

    1542 MonArk - WingClipper

This was the month for the extra paycheck, so I decided to tear down and begin the build.... again. The pictures below aren't in proper order, however, you can see what I've done. I took off the carpet, removed the carpet glue, and added a small pod style hatch. The rear deck is now done...

    1542 MonArk - WingClipper

I like that idea, however for now I'm done spending money on it! lol. I've fished this boat 20x or so, and have come to hate certain components. In the coming months, I likely will re do the darn thing though. I didn't think about it, and the darn hatches are not able to be opened while...

pmshoemaker's 16:51 Polar Kraft: ready for layout ideas!

I'd guess they're factory boxes, rather than a bench. The large ribs and bracing on the sides, I feel, would likely be much smaller if there was a middle bench. Personally, I'd cut them out. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
