    Moving Trolling motor

I'm considering moving my bow mount troller to the stern. It'll be off the center line which will affect the tracking. Other than that, any down side to moving it to the transom? I would suspect it will be a bit less efficient too.

    Always check your springs...

Thanks finstr. Replaced the springs and tires, was back on the water a couple weeks later. I wonder though - even if I had crawled under and inspected, since the crack was at the mounting point, would I have noticed the crack? Anyway, be safe out there!

    Always check your springs...

Trailer & boat ended up on its side, luckily on a city street. Nobody hurt, no property damage, outside edge of the gunwale has a nice flat scrape about a foot long. I was lucky it didn't happen on the freeway. Next time I buy a used boat/trailer, I'm crawling all the way under with a...

2003 15' Klamath Stinger bilge pump location?

It's a side console model with a live well and side storage compartments. The live well pump is at the transom under the transom platform but I've got no clue where the bilge pump is located. The console switch for the live well works but no sound heard when switching on the bilge. Previous...

    Decisions, decisions

Been browsing tinboats for a while and decided it was time to join up & ask my questions. I've been trying to decide between spending the money for a new boat, like a riveted Lowe 14', or going with an old (1970's) welded Gregor that I've been looking at. With the Gregor I'm sure I'll end up...
