My boat used to sit on a trailer identical to that when my dad had it and he had the axle bracket give out on him, so I would second swapping those out with a new pair.
Fortunately for me, dad bought a new trailer and gave the rig to me for my birthday a few years back.
I don't have a name for my little tinboat, but my (late) great uncle's Grady-White was named "The Happy Hooker" when he bought it.
His wife had him change the name. :lol:
I tow a 14' Grumman with a 15hp Merc 4 stroke with a 1.5L Scion and it's no problem unless there are pretty bad grades. Keep the coolant and oil fresh!
I've got a 15hp 4 stroke Merc on my 14' Grumman V and it planes out in a heartbeat when I'm solo. I can about keep up with an older jet ski! No speedo but I wouldn't want to go any faster on it, honestly.
