    Ordered Goop 'Coat-it'--review pending--

I used Coat-It on the bottom of my last project (wood boat with glass covered bottom) and about half of it sluffed off after touching a rock. It was a pain in the rear to get everything prepped to the point that I felt like I had a good substraight and I wiped down the smoothed out and slightly...

Post a Pic of your boat!

Here's my last project....These pics are for the Craigslist ad #-o 15'9" Plywood Sled....1966 Build with 1966 motors (also rebuilt) and trailor made for the boat (also 1966). Here's a link to some build album pics...

Grew up using worms and nothing else

This is one of my favorites :- I'm not sure what a bass would do if he saw something like this swim by, but Salmon seem to like them. My mom used to drop me off at the lake on her way to work and pick me up on her way home all summer long.... Nothing but worms and whatever bugs I could find...

    Repowering an old lund

Thanks jasper - This was my last build / rebuild. It's a 1966 Plywood sled...Completely redone bow to stern, top to bottom....2 years and a few thousand dollars that I'll never get back, but it was still fun :) I'd post a build link, but this is a TIN Boat site :- I still think I should...

First trip out with Phase 1 Complete!

I don't put "Ice" in it so there's no water to hold and nothing to leak... A "Live well" isn't really what I was going for as much as an "Ice Box". My fish get bonked, bled, put into a bag and then into the box to chill... I just use those 6-pack plactic blue ice things to keep it cold inside...

First trip out with Phase 1 Complete!

I basically just put a layer of that rubber matt on the metal boat bottom to keep the moisture off and allow for some air flow within the grooves / chines or whatever they are and then cut the foam board to fit....I filled the voids on the sides with as many foam scraps as would fit for more...

First trip out with Phase 1 Complete!

It had a bunch of old broken stuff in in when I got it but that was all removed...There's quite a bit shoved into any voids I could find under the seats and with the cooler made from it, I would guess there to be about 4' X 6' X 2" of high density foam board so far.... I'm looking at some of the...

First trip out with Phase 1 Complete!

Thanks Folks - timebak - The pickled squid/fresh sand shrimp (I forgot about the nightcrawlers I stuffed in there too) is usually pretty good eats... (If you're a Sturgeon.) I would imagine a catfish would like it too. I'm afraid it ruins anything it touches....My fingers still smell a bit...

First trip out with Phase 1 Complete!

Howdy - I picked up this little boat last September and I've been playing around with it since then trying to get it set up to fish until I can get started on Phase 2. This is it just after digging it out from where it had been sitting for the last 16 years next to my neighbors chicken shed...

    Repowering an old lund

Be careful spending too much on an old motor unless you really like it.... I spent almost $800 to rebuild a 1966 Merc 500 that I could have replaced for less. It wouldn't have kept the look I was going for on that particular boat, but it probably would have been a better choice to replace it...

    Pweisbrod's 79 18' mr pike DUCK conversion/rebuild

Pweisbrod - The Fulton site has all the sizes and details, but yes.....They bolt on. I just installed my second and they are engienius. It makes my trailer 4' shorter! They have one model that you could just remove what you have on the end and bolt on the extention as a complete unit. There...

    Pweisbrod's 79 18' mr pike DUCK conversion/rebuild

That's a great looking boat! Nice and roomy and it soundss like it would be a fun project with the changes. Just an Idea for the trailer extention: How about one of those folding toung hinges from Fulton and add in the desired length from the end that you have? It would probably help with the...

New guy from the Pacific NorthWest

Thanks for the welcome Guys -- Very nice work on those boats of yours! =D> panFried- The transom thing looks likt a PAIN! rickybobbybend- I think I may need to "borrow liberally" from a couple of the things you did to the "pointy end". I'm done with Phase 1 at this point. But I'm going to...

New guy from the Pacific NorthWest

Hi Folks - I'm Dave (AKA FishNutz) and I'm in Vancouver, WA. Primary water is the Lewis, Columbia and Willamitte Rivers. Target species are Steelhead, Salmon and Sturgeon. I just finished a rebuild on a 16' wood sled, but it's just not my deal so I jumped at the chance to get a nice little tin...
