    New 2017 25hp 4 stroke efi yamaha

Somebody from another group I follow got the new Yamaha 25. It's on a 1448 says it does about 35 empty and 28-30 with people and gear. Said it has a lot of torque and well worth the money. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well idk but I don't think many people know people who can hack an ECM lol. And if it's a newer motor I'm almost certain it would void any kind of warranty you had. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

True anything maintained properly will last. Not to argue with you but I think it's kinda crazy now that with an efi 25hp if something goes wrong it has to be diagnosed with a shop computer. And all those efis are set by EPA regulations Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Suzuki is not comparable to Yamaha lol. You will pay much more for a Yamaha because it is a far better motor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New 2017 25hp 4 stroke efi yamaha

This video isn't that impressive lol. I've towed skiers with my old 96 25 Evinrude. I feel like any 25 with the appropriate size boat should be able to do that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New 2017 25hp 4 stroke efi yamaha

I used to have a 25 Evinrude 2 stroke and it weighted maybe 125 or so. I have a 2016 Yamaha so it's still the heavier one. My boat planes much better and I have more in between speeds with the newer motor. When I had my old motor it rode like a tin can, bumpy and basically WOT all the time. I...

    New 2017 25hp 4 stroke efi yamaha

I used to have a 25, when loaded down with 4 people the boat would barely plane. I now have a new 25 Yamaha and it rides the same empty as it does loaded down. The added weight doesn't seem to affect it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So what you are saying is that Yamaha (the people who manufacture the motor) don't know how to property break in an outboard? That's about the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It was basically fuel injected before. Yes it does have a carburetor, but there is no choke. You just prime the primer ball and it's ready to start.

Mini jacker install on short shaft engine

The cavitation plate about level or within an inch from the keel which is what the manual said to mount it. It's a short shaft, but without the mount I would have been below the keel and most likely to much in the water. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Mini jacker install on short shaft engine

I was considering that mount when I got my new motor but worried about putting extra strain on the transom. I have this Yamaha 25 and it's a tank, about 170 pounds. I ended up having someone weld up a custom bracket. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New/Improved Yamaha 25 Hp

That new/lighter 25hp was just released, im not sure how long it will take for a dealer to get a hold of it. I think they would want to clear inventory of the older models before they start shipping the new ones. Last month I purchased a brand new Yamaha 25 for my 16' flat bottom Jon and...

    2017 20AS2 suzuki on order

Figured I'd chime in. I have a 1656ish polar kraft, it's one of the wide ones. I had a 96 Evinrude 25hp 2-stroke on it for years. Recently I considered getting a new 4-stroke for it and after a bolt broke off in the motor it was time. I ended up with a brand new Yamaha 25hp 4-stroke and went...

    Paint Failure and a question

Yeah you'll need to get all that gray off or your new paint job will look terrible. I would recommend using a pressure cleaner to remove it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
