1973 14X32 flat bottom scrap yard special

Sorry its been a while since the last time i've posted. Just to fill ya'll in I've got the front deck and front bench seat done with the carbon fiber. I just need to put some bracing under it, and the front half is good to go. I've got a fish finder, OLD gps, pedestal seat on the front, and led...

    floatation runners

Mine is 1432. If I can find the materials for the right price and my welder can find time, I might try it and maybe instead of having them flush with the sides of the boat, have them go past some so it'll widen the boat some too. Kinda like a mix between that and sponsons?

needing the do's and dont's on bow mount trolling motors

I don't have any help on the trolling motor, since mine is a cheepo tiller, but as far as the wiring goes this should be pretty helpful--https://www.tinboats.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=24267&p=247857&hilit=what+gauge+wiring+chart#p247857

    jon boat driving lights

I just noticed today that the Alabama marine police's boats have two lights in the bow. I thought they were holes for anchor lines at first. I've never asked any of them about it, but I've got a friend in CG auxiliary who I'll ask if they work or not.. its not letting me upload a picture, but...

    floatation runners

I've got my 1432, and its good for 2 people, I haven't tried having three people (bringing someone all the way out to the lake just for them to have to sit on the truck while we fish usually doesn't make people want to give you a hug  ) So I had this idea. I've seen some people on here...

Lil Bitz, a 15ft john boat modifcation

You're build looks great, I'd love to find a 16~18 foot v hull to take down to the gulf to play around in. Don't think my flat bottom would hold up very long in some chop  ...

1973 14X32 flat bottom scrap yard special

Took her out last weekend with just trolling motor, and caught a few crappie. She held up pretty good, found out I've got a few rivets that are LOOSE that need replacing. After about two hours I had water about ankle deep in the front where I was. My buddy didn't have any in the back, I didn't...

    Trailering Small Outboard Up

I've got a 9.5 just like that, I think Evinrude says its something like 45-50lb. lets say the length of the motor is about the same as a trolling motor, so having the motor on your transom completely parallel to the ground the amount of torque on the transom is the same as running a transom...

    liquid gasket vs 5200

I was just wondering if liquid gasket would work to seal around bolts on a new transom or for adding sealant to new closed rivets to replace rivets in a hull. Especially since liquid gasket is way cheaper and easier to find, has anyone used it, did it fair ok?

1973 14X32 flat bottom scrap yard special

I started wiring today. Just my luck, I underestimated how much wire I'd need. :x I ran the bow light, and the accessory plug and ran out...I've still got to run the bilge pump and stern light, so hopefully I can still stay on track for having it done by this weekend. On the other hand...

1973 14X32 flat bottom scrap yard special

Thanks for the comments, I'll for sure try the heat gun. I spent way too long just trying to peal and scrape them. To find a scrap yard, I'd look under recycling, or scrap material

I'm going not really sure exactly, my buddy's going to help me and is the carbon fiber expert, but we're using a foam core which we've got fitted just like you'd do with ply. Then, just add the carbon fiber and resin.

What I've gotten done this week I've got the raised floors fitted and painted with the pink foam under for support. Bilge pump, nav lights, and accessory plug for a spot light or gps installed. I ordered some 14ga marine wire and a fuse box that should be in tomorrow, so I'll have everything...
