You can reverse the leaded from a good battery one and off a few time to blow the sulfate off as well and they make charges that will do it as well most of the time that is all they need and will charge up

Here is what me and a buddy had come up with instead of cutting holes in a your boat. This is ran off of a 12v plug but You can use a trail cam battery or a wheel chair battery for battery's plus and charge it at home if you want to run it in a boat with no battery.
