    my new front deck

The Hydroturf feels soft but not weak. As an added benefit it quiets the inside of the boat if you drop something. I saw duck hunters using it in their mudboats first so If it holds up to that it should last a good long while. Another benefit is fish slime and scales washes off it easily. I've...

    my new front deck

It's a 15' 6" boat and the big deck is nice. Plenty of room to throw a cast net or even gig flounder from. I have a 50 on the back and it still runs 30 with gear and 3 men in it. Mostly it's my "explore the marsh and keep the coolers for my jetski friends" boat since i've pretty much given up on...

    my new front deck

I just wanted to post some pictures of my new front deck. It's exterior grade 3/4" plywood coated in 3 coats of epoxy resin then covered in hydro turf glued down with 3m 77 spray adhesive. The hatch is a tempress hatch I bought on clearance a couple of years ago anticipating this project. I got...

what size motor for my boat?

Try to stay with the max rating on the motor hp if you can. A 15hp should be fine but I would try to find a used 25 or get yours fixed.

Garmin Echo 200 (revised) Headed back to Sears

I have one and mine reads at speed unless it's reel rough. It also displays the battery voltage I think.

ETA: Reading is fundamental. I just realized you were posting the same basic question Fuzzygrub. I just woke up so I was a little slow. Anyway fuzzygrub I agree exactly whith what your saying. Wouldn't negative prop slip be nice. I think your getting some bad numbers by using a...

    Car CD Player in boat?

I just wanted to post a couple of shots of that Jensen mount. I know the boat's a little messy but all of that will blow out on the way to the ramp. The side pocket on the mount will easily fit my droid or a remote and it doesn't move in rough water.

    Who has the fastest tin??

I have a 1552 duracraft with an 98 johnson 50hp on the back. 14 pitch prop with some cup in it and its still not enough prop. Fastest I've ever seen on the gps was 34.9 in perfect conditions. It'll run 31-32 all day long with 2 fat guys, 2 batteries, 8 gallons of gas and the bimini top up.

I have a kenwood from walmart mounted under my side console in one of these. I'm running 2 polk db691 6x9's and its working great. On a side note I bought the extended warranty from walmart for $6 in case it gets fried. I haven't installed an antenna yet but I have a hidden one on order. My...
