Canadian company BRP has announced it will stop making the Evinrude outboard boat engines.

Back in the early 60s my Uncle was a foreman at Evinrude. Every summer he would be given a new motor, a small one, a six or 9.9 horsepower to use the entire summer. In Fall he would return it and evaluate how well it ran, noting any problems. He shared it with my Dad, neither of them had to buy...

Do you own, or consider owning a jump starter?

I keep one on both my pontoon and fishing boats, and have needed it once. In the winter I carry them in my cars.

    Raymarine Dragonfly 7 Pro

I have this unit and love the graphics. Raymarine is a long time player in large boat electronics, so they know what they are doing. Great customer service too. A new model , the Element, I think, just came out to replace the Dragonfly.

    Tracker Trailer

Get a can of “Liquid Roller.” Silicone based . After you launch your boat, spray your bunks. After it dries, your boat will come off your bunks like they were rollers. The boat comes on much earlier too. One application lasts quite a while, many launches, before you have to re apply.

    Who still makes tilt trailers?

I loved the tilt bed trailer that I had years back. At some launchs I could literally luanch my Jon boat without getting my trailer tires wet. It was so much fun watching people's reactions to that. I'd have one now in a minute , if they still made them. I've looked and looked to no avail.

    Whopper Plopper

This thread is several months old , but I just needed to comment on this lure. The Whopper Plopper works great for my son and me here in WI. It's become my "go to " top water bait.
