Thanks for the replies. I am going to make the trip up there to retrieve the batteries and bring them home into a heated garage.

The boat is stored in the south west part of Michigan. The batteries are fairly new (2-3 years old) but could probably use a charge.

I usually bring my batteries indoors for the winter. However, I left them (forgot them) in the boat, disconnected, and the boat is in a non-heated garage for the winter. Any issues leaving them as is or best to head back up to retrieve before the real cold weather hits?

The price seems about right from what I have been looking at for sale on Craigslist. If he is asking $2K then I would offer $1500 and try to settle on $1700. I would for sure ask him to start up the motor with water going into it at a minimum.

The Dragonfly 7 Pro was just what was needed to get by with one device. The wireless feature works great with my Samsung phone when running the motor and trolling or scouting around. Very easy to use and setup.

The breaker/fuse needs to be between the positive lead on your battery and the main power lead going into your switch. Just finished a similar project with mine and the best advice I can give is to go with the better connectors and wire so you are going it right the first time.
