    Taking Up the Slack?

Here is the link. They are cheap but worked great for me. Living in Wisconsin, I do not leave my boat (or any of my stuff) outside during winter and I store it inside. I know snow…If I were leaving it outside in winter, I would make the same structure using either pvc or conduit and a heavy...

    Taking Up the Slack?

I got two of the boat cover support poles from Walmart. I place them in the boat and tie them in place so it is a tent structure with a rope acting as the ridge of the “roof” and tie lines to the side for support. Only takes a few minutes and keeps all water from pooling on my cover.

    Transom Plugs

I’ve used both. I now use the one on the left in your picture, but don’t really remember ever having issues with the other style.

I messed up. SIX TIMES! Night fishing

Darkness or heavy fog changes everything. I’ve gotten so turned around duck hunting on pretty small ponds in the dark and fog it’s not funny. Think you know exactly where you’re going and end up somewhere else entirely. Thats generally when the dreaded “no signal” appears on the gps.

Lithium battery - worth the expense?

I was one of those bikers. Bought it and it died completely within 8 months here in Wisconsin. I’m sticking with lead right now for the boat as it meets my needs inexpensively. I am generally always alone so the added weight actually helps smooth out my ride.

A quick survey who trailers their boat with the motor in gear?

That’s how I learned and still do to this day. Mine’s always in forward. I’m hoping one of days I’ll remember to actually put in in neutral before I try to start it lol.
