Post a Pic of your boat!

Back from Wisconsin and hauled this back from the in-laws to play with: There's a trailer that will hold something way more substantial . . .. and 1 2HP Honda 4 stroke. Not a tinnie, but still a boat . . . Transom is dry rotted and seats absorb water, so I have some wood working to do.

    Canoe Trailer

I have a 14.5 Old Town on a trailer that used to go under my Father In Law's 14 v hull. check Craig's List - I see ones around her for $150-$300 in various staes of decay . . . .

    Longboat Key

The problem with a lot of those bigger boats in florida is they all seem to have jack plates on their outboards which raise the motors vertically. I used to run a 20ft Whaler with a jack plate - we could pull the motor up to just keep the intake under on a plane and run in less then a foot...

    Longboat Key

you might want to trailer up instead of running, but some of the smaller inlets on the south side of the Sunshine Skyway in the mangroves are excellent for holding red drum and sea trout. Just after daybreak on a running tide is your best bet - look for constrictions and places the water speeds...

    tin boats in salt

Wash the tin thoroughly and you should be fine. Leave the channel (inside anyway) at just above idle - there's some interesting reef and rock stuff in there (though not as bad as the Homasassa). If you stick close to shore in the grass you'll be ok under most conditions - just keep a weather...

Custom coast guard capacity labels made

While there is a generic sticker you can supply info for yourself, it also looks like they have about 2 dozen pre-done ones for various actual boats. Interesting idea.

    '82 Alumacraft 1436

I would replace the foam - no sense loosing buoyancy back by the motor! The easiest thing might be to rebuild the metal housings, temporarily seal the housings to the surrounding deck and seats, and get several cans of spray foam - probably the minimally expanding stuff. Then shoot the foam...

    UNK year/model Starcraft 14'

You have the levers right - well what they are used for anyway. I've driven a number of Evinrude/OMC boats over the years - never seen those knobs. One might an electric choke - probably the one on the front. More photos would help.

Link to an interesting post - Home Depot gear repurposed

Spotted this in a feed from another website: https://www.ginkandgasoline.com/fly-fishing-gear/10-inexpensive-fly-fishing-life-hacks-from-the-home-depot/ Looks like another good excuse to go to Home Depot . . . . .

Love is a lot of work

The hull appears to be in good shape - you don't see any sprung planks so she hasn't been out of the water too long. Thats said she's dry as toast, and will definitely need recaulking (especially between the deck planks). I'd also be concerned about the fasteners at the transom, and the...

    Fritz's 1968 14' StarCraft Falcon

I'd say your dent repair turned out pretty nicely. Will you be able to straighten the gunwale channel without damage too?

    Tinnies 16 crestliner project

it looks like it started as a galvanized trailer that someone painted. You need galvanized steel bolts to go with it.
