I'm gonna order rivet tool and rivets today. I found one online with harbor frieght that is only $20 lowes and Home Depot want $50 for theirs. Heard anything bad about the harbor frieght one ??

Transom braces are 1/16 and knee brace is 1/4

I actually found that rivet online place today. I just took old rivets out and will measure them

Thanks again I really appreciate it. What is the standard size rivet for this repair if there is one. My lowes doesn't have the heavy duty tool or rivets in stock so I have to order site to store

Also when I punch the rivet and begin to drill should I start on the inside of the boat or outside or does it matter.

Thanks so much for the info. I plan on using marine grade ply wood and coating them with some type of epoxy resin. Not sure what I'll use to bond the boards together yet.

Also is there such a thing as a standard size rivet or what should I look for ??
