Just as an update, I've used the pole a bunch and I love it...as for the reel...not crazy about it but it works.
I ended up putting a nicer reel on the Powell and switching the Browning over to a smaller pole for worms/jigs. Hopefully I'll catch some fish worthy of a picture and be able to...
Congrats and good luck!
I took a vacation day and I'm going to go to Assunpink tomorrow. Little too early for the frog but I'm going to try it anyway because the bass there love it.
Usually I have however many would be too many...and then like an extra 5. It always feels like I am surrounded by poles and hooks...but I upgraded boat size recently and got rid of some old stock...so hopefully this year will be better.
On the new boat I'll have 3 baitcasters and 3 spinning...
It's funny, I actually just broke a 5'6" Tsunami airwave spinning rod the other day and I literally have no idea how it happened...absolutely loved that rod and so hard to find now.
Also, I found a bass pro shop gift card so I ordered the Browning Medallion GT yesterday which I'll probably...
It's been beyond terrible. Literally spent the whole day yesterday trying to convince my fiancee to move to FL...not happening.

I have been searching Craigslist for boats every single day for the past 6 months and if that came up in my area I would have bought it in a heartbeat. Great deal.
We have been getting CRUSHED this year. I just started working on my project finally last weekend. Got a free bow mount and A LOT of blue carpet, haha.
Hopefully you are up in North Jersey so you can use that motor to the fullest. All the good lakes around me are electric only.
Just to keep everyone updated on the status of my boat, I bought a Minn Kota Maxxum 55lb thrust foot controlled bow mount trolling motor for $200 off eBay. Things are coming along slowly but surely...hoping to have her in the water as soon as possible. I'll post some pictures of the...
I ended up picking up a 55lb minn kota for the front as well. I got it for pretty cheap so I can upgrade if necessary. Thanks again everyone for your input! I will post some pictures and such once I get some time!
