I have several BPS rods and reels. I have a 6' light action Bionic Blade spinning rod and BPS Enticer reel. I like it a lot and it's not so expensive that if/when my kid breaks it I can't replace it.
I have two BPS Pro Qualifier rods, 7' M/F baitcasters, that I use shaky head and light jig...
I agree! The Revos will handle light cranks. My 'light crank' rig is a STX (6.4:1) on a Fenwick HMG 6'6" medium (GT66M) with 10# Trilene XL. It will easily throw 1/4 oz baits, and I've thrown lighter on occassion.
That works - it worked in my case at least. If you ware using it for flooring, make sure it's good and dry before applying carpet adhesive.
I would use a decent A/C grade plywood. One side (the A side) would be smooth and a good surface for applying carpet using carpet adhesive. The C...
I like Shimano but I got rid of my Curado SF and replaced it with a REVO. Since then, I've bought 4 more REVOS. I use REVOs for just about everything. I highly recommend them. Smooth, reliable, built tough, and casts a country mile.
Yep, sale's been over for some time.
If it's any consolation, $129.99 is still a good price. The SC has 2 fewer bearings than the SX (149.99), but there is no difference in performance. If it weren't for the color, I wouldn't know whch one I was fishing with.
Pressure treated and marine grade plywood is corrosive to aluminum. You have to be careful that there is no direct contact between that kind of wood and bare aluminum.
Like eveyone else has said, usually plain plywood with a waterproofer will work well. I use that for the floor of my boat...
I use Lucas Red-N-Tacky #2. Messy stuff, but it's a great grease for wheel bearings. It's got corrosion inhibitors and is water resistant.
I've got bearing buddies, too, and I reapply new grease each time I get home.
Amen. I live in southeastern Virginia. We have lots of reservoirs, but they are small compared to some lakes in Missouri and Tennessee. Our lakes are usually horsepower-restricted, or electric only. There are only a few lakes where there are no horsepower restrictions, but the one I like...
I have an Eagle 500c. Great fish finder for the money. I couldn't justify spending $100+ for the Lowrance name when this had everthing I wanted. I have it mounted on the bow with the transducer on the trolling motor. I'm thinking of buying another sometime and mounting it in the rear.
