I think I understand what you are saying, basically make a mirror image of the top of the frame on the bottom, so that the frame is a complete piece essentially. I thought about that, but it seemed like it would be a hard fit. Plus, i ordered my metal based on what I was going to do. I agree...

so how about the sealing blind rivets, for rivets that will be under the water line...or is just putting a dab of 5200 on a regular blind rivet good enough?

Yea I imagine its easier with a power tool. But I don't have an air compressor. Thanks for the help with the rivets.

OK. Blind rivets. I only have a hand rivet setter. Its a large one though. Not a hand one. Is 3/16 hard to set by hand ? Thanks

What are the best size rivets for attaching 1.25" x .125 aluminum angle together for deck framing and attaching to hull. I am having a hard time figuring out all the different sizes.... Thanks for your help
