    Rear deck fish finder?

My console unit is on a swivel mount so the person in the back of the boat can adjust it to see. I have a small boat so it is easy to see from the back seat.

Interesting CL listing - twin 50 jets

That would be a great river boat. There is a guy around here who has a boat like that but with a regular outboard on it. It is called "The Fat Boys Dream".

    Ultimate Jon Boat seat

That is a good ideal. I wish I had thought of it back when I had my tiller.

    removable deck?

That is a great ideal. I don't need removable decks in mine but I wish I had thought of that when I was rebuilbing mine. I probably could have saved money on the aluminium I bought for supports and just went to the flea market and hit some yard sales and bought ladders.

How to properly set a trailer and load a boat

I'll back mine all the way in to get the bunks wet so their slicker and then pul lit out to where I need it. This is the 4th trailer and boat combination I have owned and everyone had a differant depth that the trailer needed to be.

Minnkota 36# lower unit locked up Need Help Please

I'd have to see it to know, but the older ones you had to unscrew the cone cap off of the opposite end from the propeller and then the motor would slide out. You'll need a large pipe wrench to unscrew the cap.

    First boat purchase help

I'll second that. Everytime I have found a deal that cheap if the boat is in decent shape they didn't have title and the boat had no markings. Something like that is impossible to get registered.

    Easy homemade anchor

Kind of similar to the ones I used to make but I used a large coffee can.

Changing Leg Oil, What Oil?? 1981 9.9 Johnson

Type "C" oil was used in the old Electromatic's made by Johnson and Evinrude. I believe they were only made in the sixty's. The had an electric shift lower unit. It is a thinner oil. Your outboard requires the old fashion 5W-90 oil. The one you bought will be good. I wish they sold Castrol...

    Rod Length

Several rods are now manufactured in in between sizes. My favorite is the 6'9". It is kind of in between. I can make acurate cast but still have the extra length for a farther cast.

    Shakespeare Trolling Motors?

I didn't know Shakespeare still made trolling motors. I had an old Skakespeare Wondertroll form the 70's and it was a great motor. But eventually the seals in the lower unit gave way and water got in. That was in 2003. So 30 years service ain't bad.
