    Ok I figured it out after finding this page https://www.oddjobmotors.com/tt4_singlelinetanks.htm those pins are supposed to push in, one is stuck .. makes sense now .. been a very very long time since I had a tank that had that connector.. like 35 yrs as a teen .. I will leave this for others...

    I have a 89 johnson 28hp and a old metal gas tank I bought .. don't like the plastic ones, they always leak on me over time .. anyway ..the old johnson tank has this connection below , can I take off the two small pins labeled and have it still work , just cut them off , work with the fitting...

    Well almost done with this project .. about 80% done.. still have to change out the blue carpet on the bow, and re-worked the aluminum floor the last owner put it in the back. gotta carpet that to match the tan.. and carpet the sides, then my last piece of the pie .. is to make a aluminum back...

    Progress .. using the 4x4 aluminum sign, for the floor. Foam to add more flotation under the floor, found a source locally for seconds alum sheet 6x5 slick sheet lil less than 1/4 thick for $105.. but still out of my budget .. gotta keep wife at bay lol. so I will continue the original sign...

    I found a cheap solution just this evening ... old road sign that construction company down the street was about to toss 48x48 lil bit of cutting to size and foam under it good to go .. I have a few more teaks in mind.. will post pics of course as I go .. I looked price of a sheet .. way more...

    Don't sell any .. and don't have a web site .. just make em for my own use.. but I do trade now and then .. baits for baits, have even traded for a custom rod or two.

    Windows 8.1 is a big improvement over 8.. being in the IT biz.. I get my hands on every os that comes down the path for free.. I couldn't stand 8 when it came out .. but got a copy of 8.1 to play with .. like it much better .. haven't had any issues at all with it .. every new OS is a learning...
