I have had a few nice boats that was garage keep and didn't really want to put a scratch on. Biggest fear was dock rash. Present boat 1993 river jet 1654 with 90/65 jet. It is scratched up and it doesn't really bother me to much. Way less stressful owning.

I run a river jet. 1654 flat bottom with a tunnel, 90/65 jet. 195 bottom with 1/2" UHMV over top of that. Google Snyder jet boats.

You think about maybe taking the boat to a sheet metal shop to have the rivets put in? It might not cost that much...just a suggestion.

If you have a short shaft motor. Try and find a short shaft transom. 15" You will save yourself a lot of headache. If you don't have the need for speed 25 should move the boat fine.

I would use a riser on your transom for your jet height. Some variables setting a jet. If your running a tunnel you will need a higher transom. For my 1648 50/30 jet. Have a 22" transom no tunnel. My tunnel hull not sure what my transom height is exactly on that. 1654 with 90/65 jet. Would...

Some people prefer Mercury, others prefer Yamaha. Think the most important thing is having a good dealer. I own 2 jets...25 Evinrude and a Mercury 115/80 4 stroke. Basically the only maintenance is just grease the jet pump about every other time out. Just a small grease gun and give it 2-3...

I would say that would be a 1500 dollar package. But the last year has been a sellers market and have seen them go for as high as 2500.

I have been using a boat bumper/fender this year to keep from scratching up my boat. With the super low water, the docks don't really match up well with my boat. So far has worked pretty good.

I have a 2 bank battery tender for my 24 volt system and each tender gets hooked to the battery like a normal battery. My motor is pull start so I am not sure about electric start. Do you have a good battery place? They should be able to answer all your questions.
