I think I bit off more than I can chew!!

Thanks everyone. I appreciate all the advice. I think I will temporarily mount the battery for the trolling motor so it doesn't move around and get the thing on the water as suggested. I will bug my brother-in-law some more and take my time. You guys are the best! Rob

    Foot controlled trolling motor

The control moves when the motor is raised and lowered from it's preferred location.

    Foot controlled trolling motor

Recessed trays are nice but with the location of the motor, the steering cable would not allow for it which is my issue.

I think I bit off more than I can chew!!

So, my Dad moved from FL to CT where I live and gave me his 2009 Tracker Grizzly 1448 with a 25hp 4 stroke tiller Mercury right before winter.. I know, pretty nice! My first boat ever. So I sign up for this forum and research like crazy. I get all gung ho and buy everything to transform this...

    Foot controlled trolling motor

So I currently have a Tracker Grizzly 1448 and just mounted a bow mount trolling motor. Since the mount for the electric is straight and off to one side, the foot control moves from the deck center when the trolling motor is lifted or lowered. My plan was to screw the foot control into the deck...

    Rivet Advice

    Rivet Advice

Ok, so this is my first aluminum boat build. I have a 2009 Tracker Grizzly 1448 and would like to extend the existing front deck by a few feet and continue the seat in the back out to the transom. I have been searching the forum like crazy so don't get mad. My plan is to frame the extended front...

How I want my Tracker Grizzly 1448

I saw this ad on the local Craigslist and took a look. This guy is one town over from me and has created the 1448 that i want. I gave him a call and he could not have been nicer. He told me to stop by with my camera and take pictures of all the work he has done so I can do something similar...

    Good deal at Walmart

So, I just got a Tracker Grizzly 1448 with a 25 Merc and was in need of a trolling motor. See how I said "was"? I wanted a bow mounted foot controlled model but was not looking to spend a ton of money. I stopped into the local Walmart just to have a look and to my surprise I see a display of 4...

    Another first time tinboat owner!

Hey everyone, I love small lake fishing and have been using my buddies 10ft plastic boat that fits in the truck and having a ton of fun. Now, my father decides to move and says if I want it, I could have his aluminum. The boat is a Tracker Utility Grizzly 1448 AWL with a trailer and a 25hp Merc...
