These new plastic tanks seem to be of questionable quality. My lawnmower 5 gallon jug started sweating through the front of the jug, no pin holes, it was leaking straight through the plastic. That was a new one, I wouldn't be shocked if a sun baked one has similar issues.

Thanks Mr. Scooter, My old blue boat had the 80hp, and had the exact same issue. I plastic welded the float back together, and it lasted until I was down steam from my boat launch on the Mississippi, and up steam from a dam. After 3 hours paddling up steam, I decided not to do that again...
