    Noob bilge pump question

I was on the fence about getting one last year and eventually did. My Jon doesn’t leak but I often fish in rain and it does fill up surprisingly fast in a heavy rain. Much easier to flip a switch than sit and waste fishing time to bail out water. I got the 500 Atwood and it works great.

Please Look at My Electric Diagram

Looks good. I am no expert but just wired up my boat with similar items after doing quite a bit of research. Both my depthfinders are wired to a blue seas fuse block and work fine.

    2001 Lowe Roughneck 1752 upgrades

so far I really like the hydroturf. It provides good cushion and grip. I just hope it holds up and doesnt start peeling. For some reason I am skeptical that the corners and edges will stay glued, even with 3M super 90.

    2001 Lowe Roughneck 1752 upgrades

Bought a 2001 Lowe 1752 with a 1 year old outboard. Didn't have to do a ton of work to it but still plenty to keep me busy during the off season. 1) Added LED lights up front and added a BlueSeas fuse block and switch panel in the back. Used a box from menards to house the block and switch so...

mercury 60/40 rattle noise at idle

I have a 60/40 jet that rattles at idle. When I given it gas the noise goes away but comes back when idling. You can hear it especially during the last 5 seconds of the video. https://youtu.be/ZJ5RAg4gttA I have read that it could be the impeller hitting the intake liner because the impeller...

Is this okay- gas and battery

Are these too close? I figure they aren't contained so fumes won't build and I will have an onboard charger so won't be connecting or disconnecting frequently.

    wire diagram-

I am new to wiring and electronics. I am looking for feedback on this diagram I drew. It is a pretty basic setup: nav lights, LED spotlight, and 2 fishfinders. Please let me know if anything should change. Also, what sized circuit breaker by the battery? One more: the fish finders currently...

    Help with jon boat wiring

I am in the middle of adding several electronics to my jon boat. I included a diagram of what I have so far. I would like the nav lights and LEDs (# 6, 7, 8) on a switch. Thinking one of these:https://www.amazon.com/Iztoss-Marine-Electric-Toggle-Switch/dp/B019XWD0IE I have never done switches...

    PolarKraft 1648 Duck Boat Rehab

I have tried that cheap EVA flooring in my stand up kayak. Even in a kayak it had gouge marks and tears after a season. It was junk. I can't imagine what it would look like in a boat that is used a lot. I went with hydroturf for my jon this year- seems much more durable. Not quite as "squishy"...

    Suitable substitute to hydroturf?

I have never used that stuff but can't imagine it is the best for floooring a boat. Probably tough to clean. You can get hydroturf through PWC Muscle and use the code that is on the banner for 15% off. B stock sheets are pretty cheap and 15% off makes it even cheaper. Shipping was only $20 so...

    Transom reinforcement

The engine mount bolts on top of my transom were sinkng in a bit. After determining the wood in my transom was still solid I decided to just reinforce it. There were also a few holes from a previous motor which I sealed up with 3m 5200. The current motor is a mercury 60/40 jet. There are...
