This morning was the first time I was able to take the boat out since I cleaned and painted the hull and sides.... well I was not expecting this ... I was able to do 20mph steady.... that is a 3 mph increase Not bad for just some maintenance..... lol So we went fishing again.. and caught 2 ...

My gas tank is in the rear.. but both of my batteries are up front. my boat set up differently than I think most though. can everyone post pictures of their boats?

Thas weird cause I have posted manytimes even on other forums. I post two pics the first being the start of the story and it ends at the bottom!

Here is a picture of the amount of crud that was on the bottom to give you all an idea as to what I was dealing with.

So I have cleaned the crud... from the bottom of the boat... here are some pics for the update.... but not yet tested on the water... I would love to be out there right now ( hint hint ) but I have a B-day party to go to .. family comes first..... so I might be able to test...

I have done alot of motor testing.. I now believe that my motor is not the problem.. she is running GREAT.... I think my problem lies with the boat in its self... ( what you ask ) lol well the boat is HEAVY I THINK... the boat was built by my grandfather back in 1981 now since...

thanks a lot... yes it has helped I am doing to do a gut job this winter....and completely go through my boat. MY grandfather built my boat back in 1981 lol so you can imagine it needs updating. here is a pic I plan on using the same technique as you did... I might be going...

I got the results of my boat being weighed... I dont want to post just yet.. I want to give everyone a chance to weigh in on the guess of the weight and to tell me what this boat should weigh?
