    Seat sliders

Any suggestions or recommendations for a seat slider ? I like the idea of being able to move side to side. I'm in the process of making a dugout style duck hunting blind for my Starcraft 1448. When the blind is up and I'm facing outwards the slides would allow me to be up close or towards the...

    Thermostat Johnson 1988 9.9

Pappy, I don't have a thermometer to tell the temp. However I ran the motor for several minutes not at WOT though, & I was able to keep my hand on the head for over a minute. Taking the valve seat gasket out was a real pain!

    Starcraft 1448

Just picked up a Starcraft 1448 with a Johnson 9.9. Going to be setting the boat up for bass fishing and duck hunting. The boat appears to be in good shape. Few minor issues, I has to adjust the bunks on the trailer. On one side of the boat the rear and middle seats have two rivets that are...

    Thermostat Johnson 1988 9.9

Took the cover off to change the thermostat on my Johnson 1988 9.9 and the old thermostat was broken into pieces. The thermostat seat was also trashed. The old one did not come out easy. It was like it was melted to the head. This motor is new to me and wondering if the motor may have been...

    Need help identifying Johnson 9.9

Hello all, I recently purchased a 1448 jon boat with a Johnson 9.9 hp. After thoroughly searching for information on the engine, I can not locate any model or serial number tag. The only numbers I can find are on a freeze out plug on top of the head. Can these numbers tell me model and year ...

    Tilt bolt & spring removal.

Yes #29 & #41. I put some heat on it today and soaked with PB Blaster. Placed a block of wood and gave it some solid shots with a lump hamer and nothing! The bolt won't budge. Just afraid I'm missing overseeing something. But the nut & washer are removed, the head of the bolt is a carriage type...

Any advice on how to remove the tilt bolt and spring on my 1976 Evinrude 6 hp model 6604. The motor is tough to tilt up and down almost like its seizing up. The past few days I have been spraying the area with PB Blaster, and working it up and down. I also removed the nut and washer but it has...

    1976 Evinrude 6 hp Model 6604

Thanks for the help and replys. After further inspection and removing it I noticed the square interlock. I reassembled them and snapped them together placed the spring and retainer back on. Works like a charm. I think what had happened was somehow the two pieces unlocked and was sitting in there...
