Pappy, I don't have a thermometer to tell the temp. However I ran the motor for several minutes not at WOT though, & I was able to keep my hand on the head for over a minute. Taking the valve seat gasket out was a real pain!

Kofkorn yes I placed the white washer/retaining ring back on top to hold the spring down.

Thanks for the help and replys. After further inspection and removing it I noticed the square interlock. I reassembled them and snapped them together placed the spring and retainer back on.
