Thank you for your help. The base that I have used in the past have been pretty good, but I am having a problem with the part that attaches to the seat. It rusts and the rust falls off and stains everything. Again, thanks for your help.

I can not seem to find a pedestal seat that will not rust. I am looking for a flush mount and one that has all parts (including the seat base and pin) in either stainless or aluminum. Does anyone know of any?

Does anyone know if a 1994 Mercury Tracker 40hp (4 cylinder 2 cycle) motor has a thermostat? Also, if so where is it located? I even removed the housing for the switch box and coils but could not locate the thermostat. Any help will be appreciated.

To start it, I have to put it in neutral, then push the button on the side of the shift lever and push it forwards so it starts about 2500 rpm It idles about 900 rpm and tends to quit when i put it in neutral. If I put it in gear slowly it usually quits. If I put it in gear quickly it runs, but...
