    Hydroturf - Smooth or textured?

I went with blue marble and use Dap gel contact cement. The gel made it real easy to spread. The Hydro turf likes to roll up on the edges and corners so make sure you weigh it down. I placed pieces of plywood on top with a little weight. I have pics I can post later.

    Hydroturf - Smooth or textured?

I went with the smooth version. The textured looks good but for the same reasons you posted is why I went with the smooth. I am very happy with it.

Question to those who have used hydroturf for floors/decks

You cant wrap it under like carpet. Just take it the edge and cut it. I love the stuff and would take it over carpet every time. It is a small pain to put down only because it tends to pop up along the edges. I used Daps (gel) contact cement and after laying down the turf I placed peices of...

Deck/ Flooring Coverings: What's Your Experiences?

I went with 5.5 mm Hydro-Turf and used the recommended DAP rubber cement. I used the gel version of the cement. The 5.5mm isn't real thick either. I would have to say pass on the 3mm sheets. I was told the spray glue works but it is a pain to use. With the gel all I had to do was paint it on...

Deck/ Flooring Coverings: What's Your Experiences?

I went with plywood decks covered with Durabak(bedliner) and Hydro-Turf. I am very happy with both. Durabak doesn't bother my bare feet and the hydo-turf looks great and feels good under my bare feet. I went with Durabak do to its water tight seal and the many colors they offer. Plus it comes...

    my 16'' alumacraft

I fish the causeway/ Rocky Creek and Double Branch area mostly during the winter. I can usually catch reds all day long on shrimp or cut bait. With that being said I have read and seen some excellent reports (last few weeks) coming out of those areas during high tide using shrimp and cut baits.

    my 16'' alumacraft

V8-Titan I fish all over Tampa Bay from North of the Causeway to the Sky Way and all in between. I would say that during this time of the year that about 75% of the time I am some where around Fort Desoto, which is where I will be tomorrow morning. I also trailer all over the state.

I am also from Tampa. Let me see if i can get a pic of mine up. As for paint I went to T.A. Mahoneys over on the corner of 50th and Adamo and got a paint called Mars Pro I believe. I was told its used up North on metal boats. Anyhow it seems like a very quality paint. Dried hard and is very...

coating and paint for steel boat

Absolutely it seals the leaks. I didn't need to but I also used it on the interior under my floor deck just in case. Its best attribute is sealing leaks in my opinion. I had some small leaks also(pin holes and what not) and first used JB weld then put the steel flex over that. I dont know how...

coating and paint for steel boat

Where do you live? I will give it to you for free. Its black, might get hot out in the sun. Actually, no might about it, it will get HOT! I might have exaggerated about how much I left at this moment, since I used it to also seal the bottoms of my plywood decks but I do have a good amount left...

coating and paint for steel boat

I found steelflex to very inexpensive. Cost about $65.00 for 1 gallon and I could have easily done 2 boats the size of mine. My boat is a 1542 and after putting on several coats (which were not needed) I have about 1/3 left. The finish is super hard, very smooth and glossy. After using it, I...
