    New Here - 1970 Gregor V Hull

Very nice rig. How much weight do you estimate the flooring setup including the framing added? Never mind, found your 150 estimate earlier in thread. Would love to do same, but don't want to give up that capacity (tend to have 2 adults and 2-3 kids when I go out)

    Best shade system?

Thanks for the tips everyone. I tried the umbrella system, didnt work for me. Finally found in an old thread from early June 2017 entitled "best source for bimini" where someone had a nice t-top made of conduit. Going to attempt something like that.

Nice setup, like how it folds down!

    Best shade system?

Awesome, look forward to it. I chased couple walmart specials down but they were all out, soook forward to seeing your setup. BTW, like the fishfinder mount. I now have to rethink mine (currently mounted on a flat board pintle mounted into one of the rowing lugs

    Best shade system?

Those versabrellas are some of what I have been looking at. How high do they mount? I have folding "bleacher" chairs mounted to the bench seats that would give it something to connect to, would it go high enough to be out to the way yet provide shade?

    Best shade system?

Thank you. I have been leaning towards the umbrella Idea.--Didn't think about beach umbrellas, I'll check that out.

    Best shade system?

Researching options to provide some shade while fishing at troll in a 80s 14ft mirro v tiller drive. Concerned that a bimini would get in the way of fishing. Thought about a homemade T top, or just a big umbrella or 2. What have others done, and thoughts?

    Flag pole

I have a flagpole built that I mount large diver flags to when diving off the boat. I used this originally on my inflatable in the ocean in Cali, but have brought it to my tinny here on the east coast. I use an aluminum conduit tube pole, and mounted a chunk of pool noodle foam to the bottom...

    transducer mounting

Before I got my tinny, I had an inflatable that I used in California surf. As I could not leave a transducer on it, I came up with an over the transom mount I used that I could remove (also have a Garmin). I basically took a long flat piece of heavy aluminum that had holes built in already...

New to boats- picked up a 10' jon boat

Welcome to rung 1 of the boat and accessories ladder! Always a great time, and the inevitable "I'll just upgrade this 1 thing" continuum just makes it more so! As for capacity, here are a couple links for rough estimates...

Essential Items For First Aid Kits

Naw, didn't even get a chance for anything as formal as CLS. Always just last minute jammed in classes once gear was embarked and we were on final predeployment weeks. I may see if I can find a CLS still going on near me and sneak into it.

Essential Items For First Aid Kits

[ Nice kit. I've thought before about trying to get a Corpsman/Medic bag, but they always seemed quite bulky and more than I know how to use. I know general military first aid, and how to give an i.v., and that's about it. Would like to get a basic emt course one day, just need to figure how...

Essential Items For First Aid Kits

Great ideas, and a few good laughs too, thanks! Duct tape, super glue, tums, side cutters and 2 types of fire starter (magnesium and knife, and steel wool that I can light off my FF agm battery are now in my box. Can't really just call it a first aid kit now, its my boat survival box.
