    recommendations for Online Parts

Amazon has alot of parts also. I find that a lot of times the search function works well on that site but every once in awhile you have to find an actual part number. Best thing about it is that if you're a Prime customer shipping is always free Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

    Mini Jack plate install

I built the dillion racing style jackplate last year and installed on my jonboat due to having a long shaft motor on a short transom. On the website there is a link that you can go to to get the detailed drawings themselves with all the measurements. It's a digital download and I think it was...

    mini Jacker plate install help

I may have lied to you. I thought that when I built mine that the bottom bolts went directly into the bare aluminum part of the transom but they don't so I apologize for that. Hopefully these pictures will atleast give you some sort of idea on how to adapt for your situation. Maybe someone will...

    mini Jacker plate install help

I will get some pictures posted when I get home. I bolted directly though the aluminum at the bottom using stainless fastners and large washers backed with clear silicone and have not had any issues. The main stress in my opinion would be at the top of the transom since the bottom is only pushed...

    mini Jacker plate install help

The link I posted will give you some ideas. You will still want to brace the transom because the higher you raise the motor the more torque increases.i have wood encased in the top portion of my transom but not at the bottom. So my setup uses two bolts that go through the wood and two that go...

    Battery Question

I have a Lowe 1436 and I cut the top off the middle bench and cleaned out the Styrofoam and covered that with plywood and hinged it. I put two batteries in the bench, one on each side and wedged wood so they don't slide. And I secured a two bank charger to the wood and it looks real clean...

Mariner tiller Steer 25hp wont start

If the switch is down( off position) it will prevent spark therefore alow the engine to spin but not ignite the fuel. You can remove a plug to check for spark but wipe it down first to be sure there is not any fuel on it. Sent from my SM-N910H using Tapatalk

    Water under my outboards cowling

It sounds mostly like a seal leak to me. If water was getting in the motor directly from the lake it would most likely be coming over your transom as well since its usually the lowest point. Had the same issue on an older evinrude but it was clear that it was the exhaust cover leaking which...

    TOHATSU M18C2

Anyone by chance know the part number for the water pump kit for this motor? I found several suppliers of the individual parts including the impeller but not a complete kit. I run a river that is usually very low in places and sandy so would rather get a kit and replace everything while its...

    Smoking food

Not an expert but what I would say is cooking wood is what you would smoke the meat with from start to finish and just use wood chips soaked in water when using charcoal in place of an all wood fire. Some folks do not have a smoker and use a charcoal grill with chips added to get the smoke flavor.

    15ft. Fisher Marine

I have talked myself out of it . It's just not worth it being only 2 inches wider than what I currently have. I'm gonna look for something hopefully in the 4 foot wide range atleast.

    15ft. Fisher Marine

The build you did is that same boat. I plan to just put seats in it if I decide to buy it. I'm a bream/ crappie/ catfish guy and rarely bass fish so I would not need a deck at all. Maybe a live well / seat combo at the most

    15ft. Fisher Marine

I'm 215 myself, I try to only pack the essentials such as anchors cooler and tackle box. Problem is that on the river I fish there is always current so you almost always have to fish on bottom or atleast vertical. When anyone else goes, any movement at all moves the boat to the point of thinking...

That's exactly what I was thinking also. Just didn't know if The extra foot of water contact would do anything as far as increasing stability or not

    15ft. Fisher Marine

I went this afternoon and looked at this boat. As it sits it needs a new transom and some cosmetic repairs. I have a few questions that I hope can be answered and if it will work for what I plan to do I will be adding it to the boat conversion thread ( it needs a lot of TLC). The boat has an...

Buying a used motor article for the homepage

Google a carb kit for a M18C2, pre 2001 or any internal carb parts such as the main nozzle and let me know what you find. I had to resort to buying a parts motor to get mine fixed. I will tell you that tohatsu is a well built machine and is very dependable just make sure it doesn't have a lot of...

Buying a used motor article for the homepage

I would also want to say, from personal experience if the motor has some age on it make sure parts are readily available. Just because it runs fine today does not mean it will not need a carb kit tomorrow. Motors like tohatsu and Nissan are great engines but if il you need a carb kit then good luck.
