pulling a boat with a car

I'll agree with everything but the Uhaul part.... uhaul has a HORRIBLE reputation for installing hitches... Do an internet search of camping sites and see what they have to ssay about the subject... Odds are you have a local trailer company that will do a better job cheaper.

Does anyone know the weight capacity of our boat?

Thank you... This is a bit wider, 42" on the transom, and no flex to it...Maybe different generations of the boat... I certainly hope the capacity is more than 370...I've had my whole family in there, hate to think I had double the rated capacity in there. Going to continue to research...

Bought a 1970 shallow V Richline off Craigslist this weekend

for $450, with trailer. Our ten year old is crazy for fishing and has been dying to get out on the water rather than fish from shore. We saw this boat on craigslist.com and brought it home Friday. It's really rather a wreck, but we're hoping that even though it doesn't look great it's sea...

Old Alumacraft Shallow V, New Design

Wow! We just joined this site today, and this thread on your boat is amazing! You say you are "winging it" but you must have some carpenter experience or something because I am awe! We purchased a shallow V this weekend on Craigslist as well. We have no hopes of anything as beautiful as...
