cuddy cabin - weather break & season stretcher

I'm mot sure, it's not mine. But i would assume it is the same coated heavey nylon fabric that bimini tops are made of. It would be no different than the full emclosure for a pontoon boat. Check out boat supply places, you can get bimini tops for all kinds of boats including tin boats. I would...

cuddy cabin - weather break & season stretcher

Check out this video, it's actually pretty cool what this guy did and it wouldnt be too tough to extend it all the way to the back, and it could be completely removeable for summer. I have thought about this for my 18' but don't think i would get enough use out of it to make it pay. The section...

    Lund SSV 18

The built in tank is a HUGE game changer, I will never own another boat without it having one or building one for it.

    Lund SSV 18

Sorry for the late reply, I haven't been on here much lately. The vinyl covered bow peice was original from the factory but could easily be made. Whats holding it on is some small aluminum angle brackets beneath it that are riveted to the sides of the boat. Its no where near the water line so...

Budget drop in decks and floors

looks great. Its amazing how something so simple can make time spent in the boat so much more enjoyable.

    Treated plywood

Definately not the green treated stuff, It will corrode the aluminum, As far as the other treated stuff, Im not to sure. But for all the work that goes into modifying one of thes boats, just buy marine grade plywood or MDO plywood, Then you know you will be good.

    Lund SSV 18

Not having to crawl into the boat to fill up a cruise a day is a huge bonus plus it almost doubled the fuel capacity. The tank is vented so it does not build up pressure and I have had no issues. But having said that I’ve only had it out a couple time so far but plenty of miles on it where...

Not sure why my pictures loaded sideways. If any of the mods can fix that for me that would be great

    Lund SSV 18

Staying true to myself by not being happy with what I have, I decided to do some modifications to my new boat. It is a bare bone Lund SSV 18’ and fishing in it last year for the whole season taught me what I needed and wanted so I decided to make it a reality. The first thing was to run the...

    Building a catfish boat

Amazing work. Looks real professional and I agree with the above posts that your wood working skills are top notch. I would like to know more about what you used and how you finised the console and your bait tank lid, if you don't mind. They look awesome and don't even look like wood.

    1990 16' Lund Rebel Special

Great build. Very professional. I love bringing old stuff back to new and making it your own. Some people like to buy but it takes real skill to build. I just bought a Lund SSV 18' last year and because I just can't leave things alone, I am doing some mods to. I have ordered a sheet of 5/8" MDO...

    Lund boat seat

I am going to replace one of the wood seats on my Lund ssv simply because I am building a storage box to replace it. I purchased a sheet of 5/8” MDO for the project as I want it to match up as close as possible to the stock seats as I can get it. Through all my research I have found out that...

New fishing platform for a trio of old guys

I like eeshaw's idea but you could also look for a older pontoon boat, Not sure if that would suit your needs/wants or not. I rebuilt a bontoon boat a few years ago and they are actualy easy to do. It was the standard pontoon boat with the perimeter seating and stuff. I would love to get ahold...

    Question about permanent fuel tank

Had to scrap the meoller tank idea, according to the measurments on the tank, the filler neck would be just slightly to high and would not be allow the casting deck to be reinstalled.

    Question about permanent fuel tank

Thanks guys those are all the answers I was hoping for. About 60% of the time I’m alone in the boat and the rest of the time it’s just me and my wife. When I am alone I have to keep the motor trimmed all the way down to stop the porposing of the front end. I’m hoping that the extra weight with...
