    A-hole brother in-law!

Hey everyone I have a question. My awesome brother in-law decided to cut down a tree near my tin and hit the corner of the floor and gunnel with the saw and put a hole in it. So my question is is; bondo or epoxy fix, what is better? I know an aluminum welder would be best but I can't afford it...

    Finder location

Looking to get opinions on people's finder locations. Front or back? Pros and cons? I just got a setup and am not so sure where id like it. I don't do much slow trolling around open water but would like to. I mostly bass fish and only move from spot to spot.

    Best of both worlds

So I'm sorry if this was already a thread. I'm horrible with searching the forums. Anyone out there have a tin setup that they fish and ski and/or pull a tube with? I have a little 14' and want to get something I can have fun with the family with and still be comfortable fishing in down the...

    Home made riser questions

Has anyone out there ever made a home made riser for their boats at a cheap price? Is it worth it? Can we see some pics of them? My motor looks to be sitting about three or four inches too low and I'm thinking some angle iron and nuts and bolts can be cheaper then $100 or more for a riser...

    Starting issues

I've got a '79 35hp motor that starts pretty hard. If I prime and choke it takes a bit to get going. If I hit it with a quick shot of starter fluid it barely takes anything to get going. Any advice out there? Will just a simple tune up help or do I need to get into the carb and do a...

    Stubborn parts!

I have a 1998 Merc 5hp and it is leaking gear oil from behind the prop. I was able to take the nut and washer and prop off easily but the thrust washer is frozen. I don't want to use heat in fear of more damage. Anyone have any tricks besides spend money on a puller?! I don't know where or how...

    Motor too big?!

Sorry if this has been asked before or if it's in the wrong section. Does anyone have any idea if a 79 Johnson 3hp is too big for a 14' Grumman Jon Boat? I have the chance to trade a 5hp for it so I'm not so sure. Would it be worth adding some buoyancy pods?
