If the bulb never gets hard check the float needle and seat valve(inside carb) and also check your fuel pump for a bad diaphragm as that will prevent pressure from building then lastly try a new fuel line 94 xlt 5speed 3.0v6

Recoil rope? Or wrap around flywheel and pull? If to wrap around the flywheel it would work fine. Not sure on a recoil system but it should have enough abrasion resistance that it should work 94 xlt 5speed 3.0v6

The magneto parts are relatively cheap for those motors, what worries me is that it was "stuck" that could mean its all sorts of messed up inside bearing and piston wise for those reasons alone i would pass on it

Go to a parts manual for the 20 and the 25 and see if it uses the same prop first 94 xlt 5speed 3.0v6

What kind of motor is it? If its a 2 stroke thats completely normal after that much run time in a tank. If its a four stroke then id say the lower unit is leaking and to check the oil in it 94 xlt 5speed 3.0v6

Just to update, i drilled the welch plug out and found the tip. I was able to push it back out and used green lock tite to hold it back in place. I need to order a carb kit and fuel pump before i run it again 94 xlt 5speed 3.0v6

White greasy wire looks to be battery positive cable the black is battery ground 94 xlt 5speed 3.0v6

With those bolts do not try to put vise grips until you heat up the bolts with a mapp gas torch and melt a candle around them. This would be my best suggestion if that fails then your stuck drilling out and using a helicoil

If i got the welch plug out could i use compressed air pressure to force the end out? Its just the pointy part stuck in there i think 94 xlt 5speed 3.0v6

I just disassembeled my carb and found my slow speed needle does not have a tip on it, would that cause it to not idle? 94 xlt 5speed 3.0v6

The fuel pump i have on it forces me to mount the top ignition coil only on one bolt hole. Its Definatly pumping good i ran the motor for a minute in the test barrel but the carb seemed like it needed a rebuild 94 xlt 5speed 3.0v6

I think they sell covers for battery's if so get one and utilize that space our friends pontoon boat came from the factory with a covered battery in the storage compartment they store their throw pfd and extra life vests in there too 94 xlt 5speed 3.0v6

^ ive seen it happen as well, i would search for pictures of your engine models carb assembly on the internet and look for something obvious or put on backwards or wrong, if you verify that the carb is correct try pumping the inline primer ball more before you try and start the engine 94 xlt...
