depends on if you need a 9.9 outboard. If you don't need it or aren't going to flip it, I'd say it's not worth it.

The OMC magneto is far easier to work with than the Phelon. I have never been more frustrated fixing and buying parts.

for the shift shaft seal, I use an extended flat wood drill bit. cut the business end off so you can tap on it.

Turn that sacrificial anode to the right until you are happy with the performance.

update. it was fine. It was only running on one cylinder. I've spent the last 8 hours trying to get good spark on both cylinders. Sure aint as easy as an OMC magneto. Getting rid of it.

get rid of the 24 volt trolling motor, that's overkill .

Not pumping water. Looks plugged up with sand. Question is "is the flush port on the exhaust housing a reverse flow type deal?"

I had one of those. start with lower unit oil and water pump. If it's been run in the last ten years, the magneto has more than likely been updated.

Jon boats need to look plain IMO. The buyer sees a custom boat like that and think it could have been done better or doesn't trust the craftsmanship. They see a stock looking boat and start imagining what they can do to it.

pappy, do still have any of those 3 cylinder 35's? I am looking for one. I put a 25 on my dad's tracker, and it's been turn key since I replaced the power pack. Should have never given it to him.

that screw holds the shift yolk in place. the yolk is what moves the clutch dog on the prop shaft.

That's definitely not a short shaft. You can see the extension between the housing and gearcase.

Do you get anything when you press the start button? The wires are frail and corrode easily under the insulation. Could be a short in the wire. A short in the starter will act up and produce random results.

He could get a 15 hp Force that only weighs 60 lbs and have a much safer ride.

scrap the boat and trailer, recoup as much as you can, and then you can call it a steal. I wouldn't dump a penny into that boat, unless you count the expenses taking it to the recyclers.
