    dulling really shiny aluminum.

I've got some flat surfaces on a boat I'm working on and the new aluminum is really shinny. It produces glare when I'm running. Is there a faster way to age the aluminum? I'm a big fan of just letting it sit and naturally age but this one part is really shiny.

    Fish finder screen protector

No need. Unless you get a touch screen you really won't be scratching it. Also the lowrance units are hard enough as it is to see in bright sunlight.

    Quick Question about Fish/Depth Finders

It wouldn't affect your fishing. I tried this before. As soon as you get off plane, rip the ff off and then move it to the bow. By the time your all connected and turn the unit on it'll find itself again before you can even pick a rod out the locker. For myself I just wired another power cord...

CraigsList boat = no title = no numbers = no HIN =

Louisiana is impossible to get anything transferred unless you got the papers in hand and done right. I once got an old trailer without papers and I had more than a few places tell me I was out of luck and the best thing to do was leave it on the side of the road and accept my losses.

    36v to 24v

You can never have too much trolling motor power. I have a custom welded 16x60 and wish I had a 36v instead of 24.

How to Secure Battery & Box to Floor of My Jon Boat

Do you have exposed ribs? Have someone weld a plate on the ribs then mount the box on the ribs. Otherwise grab a ratchet strap and some eyelets and strap it in place.

so many reels - so little time (to choose one)

I use a shimano curado with 65# power pro on my jig rod for bass. Best spinning reel for my purposes is the shimano ci4 stradic. (Inshore salt and freshwater bass)

    Shimano Stradic Vs Shimano Sustain

I have 3 stradics as loaners and 1 ci4 stradic for my personal use. I don't see the need for the sustain with the new ci4. It's so light! Pulled in a dozen 30 inch reds with it and the drag worked well.

    On Top or Below??

Seal up the holes in the wood. If you can, slightly enlarge them and glass the wood holes so water won't rot it out. My last boat had one of those on a piece of wood and it just pulled right off because of the rot.
