    If there is paint bubbling or blistering back on transom, I am willing to bet that the transom is rotted. Do a google search on Lund transom rottting, you find out that this is a sure sign that the transom will need to be replaced in the near future or immediately.

    Should I add a filter/water separator?

    Myself It was definitely worth the time and space to put a fuel/water separator on my outboards. I didn't have anymore problems with gummed up carbs after installing them. I still used Stabil and Sea Foam in my gas.

    Where do you store your boat registration while out on the water?

    I stick mine in my orange floating key chain that's in the ignition switch of the boat. The key chain comes apart, never had a problem.

    Trying to clean inside rivets and seams.

    I personally brushed two thin coats of Gluvit on the rivets. Do the best job you can do with the brush and wheel. I used the same thing on my rivets. As mentioned above, make sure you paint what you sealed. The gluvit rivets will yellow over time if you don't. Good Luck!

    I wouldn't mess with the patch. I have used Gluvit in the past to seal the rivets in the boat. Great product!

    Avoid pressure treated lumber, it will eventually react with the aluminum.
