    Alumacraft T-14

The M is in the right place for a pre 1984 boat, but it would mean some number(s) are missing. Someone here will post more helpful data. Sorry I couldn't help but the boat looks nice.

    Alumacraft T-14

Did you look on the transom brace for a number? My Alumacraft has it stamped on the Transom brace. Then again mine is a 1959 and yours is much newer. E-mail that number to Alumacraft, they are real good with getting back to customers.

    vintage aluminum boats

Perhaps "better" was indeed the wrong word. I know that the old Richline I fixed up and since sold seemed to be of thinner aluminum than the alumacraft. Perhaps I was just looking for the "Yes, you should have another boat". lol Probably wouldn't even be looking if a previous owner hadn't...

    vintage aluminum boats

Any opinions on which is a better vintage boat? AlumaCraft or Duracraft? I currently have a Flying C but have found a Duracraft which looks like a interesting project.

Rectifier Issue? 1992 Johnson 30 HP

Just so you know. Replaced rectifier Problem appears to be resolved. The new rectifier didn't test that much different than the old one, it's just that all were very close to the same reading.

    Johnson 30 HP

I replaced the dog, forward and reverse, and said pinion I still have the old parts, hope I don't need them. This engine came with a project Alumacraft Flying C that I purchased last month. I didn't know the year of the engine until just a few minutes ago.

    Johnson 30 HP

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between Pinion Gears for Johnson 30 HP engines? They look identical and both fit my drive shaft. No part number on the part itself and I did purchase the gear set used on Ebay (so maybe it IS the same part?) I have a 1992 ish model Johnson. Drive shaft...

Johnson 30 HP model year help? Pictures Added.

Sorry, the paper is wrong on the carb number, the number is 432703. I am going with it as a 1992 Johnson. put the boat in the water this past weekend... purred like a kitten. Reverse just fine, Forward didn't fare well. Pulled the lower unit again. Forward gear and Clutch dog trashed. btw...

Thanks for the reply Hank. These dang motors used a lot of the same parts for a lot of years, water pump was the same for twenty years! Replaced no problem. Carb will probably need to be rebuilt, but I really would like to narrow down the year before ordering more parts or manuals.
