1982 Tracker Tournament TX

If that trim goes out and an aftermarket one be added? I am unfamiliar with tilt/trim on boats. My last one was tiller steer

    Carb spitting gas

Thanks I am trying to get the carb back off. I don’t know how I managed to get it off before but I may have to blast it out. I just did a carb rebuild so I may have messed the float up. I reused the one that was in there. Thanks again

    Carb spitting gas

My 6hp SeaKing is spitting gas out of the port next to air/fuel screw. Link is attached to show what I am talking about. Thanks for any ideas on what is causing this https://youtu.be/nmCc0NFkA6w

    SeaKing head gasket question

Head gasket replaced with no real difference. I am chasing the air/fuel issue now working on the correct initial setting for the carb and idle adjustment screw. I just reinstalled the rebuilt carb and will work on adjustment tomorrow. Thanks for the input

    SeaKing head gasket question

Thanks for the response. The first YouTube video has sound to it. As you said it is not a hard job. Head is off and I have the new gasket. It will take longer to remove the old gasket than it did to pull the head. Thanks again

    SeaKing head gasket question

According to my paperwork it should be a 50:1 ratio. I am going to replace the head gasket but do you think at 50:1 that is reasonable smoke? My 96 Mariner 25 hardly smokes at all and that is why I am concerned. Maybe I am chasing my tail. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    SeaKing head gasket question

The back yard looked like I was spraying for mosquitoes if you know what I mean. I feel that is a bit much. If you were in the boat and the wind shifted you would be in trouble. I posted a video link below

    SeaKing head gasket question

I am still working on the SeaKing 6hp and the excessive white smoke issue. I ordered a head gasket and removed the head. I am fairly certain that This is the first time it has been off since it was built. How do I get the actual gasket off? I don’t want to gouge the head bit it is on there good...

    1976 Sea King 6hp

Finally got a chance to get a video of it in the barrel. I had to replace the recoil spring first. Please let me know what you think the issue might be. https://imgur.com/forum/images/EBx3xzL Could carb setting cause this? I have not cleaned it at all yet. That is next on the list. Thanks a lot

Where does this wire connect to??

I have a 96 Mariner 25hp tiller steer. I removed and rebuilt the carb and when I went to put it back together I cannot figure out where/how to connect the high idle wire/rod. Mine looked like the one in pic 1. There is no way to connect it like pic 2. The problem is that when the primer knob is...

    1996 Mariner 25HP Cold start

So I let this sit a week or so and I had the same issue. The carb area was what appeared to me to be overly oily so I pulled the carb off and the primer is part of the carb. Took it apart and the primer had fallen apart on the inside. Bought a rebuild kit which came with a new primer and seal...

Where is the oil coming from

Thanks for the response. It has never started quickly but I feel that was likely operator error as I did not understand the primer function. A few weeks ago I figured it out but it did not appear to work well today. With all the oil on the primer area I decided to go ahead and remove the carb...
