    Transom Plate/Pad

I know this is just like cutting board material... https://mud-skipper.com/accessories/transom-pad.html Anyone use something like this (bolted through hull + 3M5200) on their boat? Application is bow mount trolling motor or <10 HP outboard.

    Removing end caps from rollers

How do I (easily?) get the end caps off to replace the rollers from the trailer? I don't have a pic readily available. It is not a bolt and nut, it's almost like one of these hammer on caps for a kids wagon or something - but seem much harder to remove.

Best way to work on the inside of the boat?

    Keep it on the trailer?

    Torn down trailer, rebuild correctly

I have reason to believe, reading many of half-baked articles, that my trailer was not setup correctly when I bought it. - Bow eye above the bow roller (multiple sources say roller above eye) - Bunks fall short of the transom (should be flush or extended past) - Keel (actually "spool") rollers...

Transom "cover" or "rail" - rebuild, replace, fix?

This is a piece of aluminum that encapsulates the wood transom as well as the rear of the aluminum hull. It is secure with nails. It is split in two pieces as also has holes and significant damage. What recommendations do you guys have to fix/replace this?

Rustoleum Topside... how's it holding up?

For those that have use the Rustoleum Topside or other oil based enamel type paint... how is it holding up? Both the look and the performance of the coating? Are you re-painting or touching up regularly? Are you seeing bubbling or problems with the boat left in the water for a few days? Thanks.

Trailer with bunks and rollers... remove rollers?

It looks like the keel rollers and side guides were added to the trailer. After comparing to a Load Rite I am thinkin of going back to just 1 bunk on each side. Pros or cons?

Sanding aluminum rail and other non-painted surfaces

I tested some 400 grit on the aluminum (unpainted) rail on my '66 Sea King and the result were pretty solid - no scratching, but felt like maybe I was right on the edge of scratching. Is this an appropriate, meaning will not scratch, solution for all unpainted aluminum? Such as the inside of...

Leaks in bow and side seams - weld, gluv-it, other?

I have a thread running the projects section of the site but wanted some specific guidance here. As you can see in the pics below, I put some water inside the boat to test the seams. I have a leak about halfway up the bow and a couple leaks on the side seams. There does not appear to be any...

1966 Sea King - Just acquired

I posted over in the boat house the other day asking to help ID this boat. Well for $200, I took a risk and bought it today. Was given the original title for the boat and the trailer. Original owner purchased 4/14/1966, was purchased at auction in 2010, and then purchased by me today. This is my...
