Minn Kota Ulterra or Terrova? Something else?

Please do an install thread. I have a Terrova ordered for my sea nymph GLS which looks to be the same as your Sylvan depth wise. Very deep boats. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    1648 & 25hp

You’re gonna want more motor than that. Like beating a dead horse but whatever the boats max hp is rated for go for that. Save a little more money up and go for it. I think you’ll be wanting more from that 25 if that’s what you go with. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Modifying Grizzly 1448 Transom

Buy or build a jack plate. I think cutting the existing transom would be the last thing I’d do to that boat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Mercury vs. Quicksilver vs. Solas Props

I had a spitfire on my old I/O bowrider and was a great prop. Not considering ss at all myself. Wondering how an alum 4 blade would work on a 25 hp tin Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Tiller extension and kill switch for 25hp merc

I had an extension mounted on my 25hp Mariner (same kill switch in the end of the handle as your Merc) and I just flipped the kill switch located on the motor itself under the front hood to kill the motor when needed. A bit of a pain because you need to remember to flip it back up when starting...

    Merc/Mariner Shallow Water Bracket Bolt

Does anyone know a source to get the bolt that hold the motor up when lifted for shallow water? Motor is a '97 Mariner 25. The bolt fell out this summer when lifting it up one day to put back in normal down position. I think the tapped hole is ok. Would Lowes/HD be ok to source one? Sent from...

    15hp on 16ft Lund deep V

I'll second the 16-17 mph. I have a 2 stroke 25hp on a 16' mirrocraft that does 23mph on a good day with minimal load. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Deciding Between Two Lunds

Hello guys new to this forum! Not a first time boat buyer but first "tin" boat for me. I'm going to look at two very similar boats tomorrow (looked at the first briefly already once) and want opinions between the two, so here they are. First is a '96 14' Rebel, in decent shape, could use a...
